We were awarded the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship for the 5th time last night!
Kurt, our Prevention and Environmental Advisor, accepted the charter on our behalf at the official awards in Ghent University’s Palmarium.
Voka rewards businesses that make specific and demonstrable efforts to translate their sustainability goals into practice with this sustainability certificate.
We were awarded the charter for our sustainability plan for the past year, during which we achieved various action points relating to the 5 P’s (Peace, People, Planet, Prosperity and Partnerships) and the United Nations’ 17 development goals.
We are highly committed to:
- the electrification of our fleet of vehicles, the reuse of rainwater, and the installation of solar panels
- various health initiatives for our employees and an in-house fitness suite in our office
- aid initiatives for Ukraine and the establishment of a professional aftercare team
- battery packs at our sites, a brainstorming space in our building, and further LEAN process optimisation
We thank Voka for their support and wonderful recognition and the whole Wyckaert team for their efforts over the past year!
We are already building on our sustainability ambitions for this year with great motivation!
